Get over it

There is something in the life of every individual that drives them to do what they do. The verb "drive" is defined in Webster's dictionary as: "To guide, to control, or to direct." There is something that guides, controls, and directs your life. What exactly is it?

As you are reading this, you may be driven by pain, anger or fear. There are countless values and circumstances that are capable of driving your life. If you are driven by negative circumstances, end the pity party. Put the glasses away, nobody is going to be 'poor-ing' you another drink! Get over it and over move on with your life.

Fear, worry, anxiety and resentment will cripple you, preventing you from achieving all that you are capable of achieving. There are some people, who at the age of 40 are clinging onto some tragedy that took place at the age of 10! They are driven by resentment, and tell the same story over and over again to anyone who will listen. Each time peeling back the scab, and allowing the old wound to bleed. They spend spend their nights rehearsing those events, instead of relinquishing their hurts through forgiveness.

In cases like this, the person who committed the offence has gone on with their lives.  You continue to absorb the yourself in bitterness carrying it around as if it were some kind of comfort blanket. It is time to let it go, the one thing that you cannot change is your past. By holding on to it, the only person you are hurting is yourself. The one thing you can change however, is the future.

Until she made the decision to get over it and forgive her father and move on. She is now a New York Times bestselling author, she has a successful ministry preaching the Word of God around the world. She uses her testimony to help others like herself.

Child molestation is one of the most horrific things that a person can go through. If Joyce managed to make a success of her life, despite such tragic circumstances, So can you!
So forget the past, look forward to the future and start working hard to achieve amazing things.
